Hi I Am Kandis.

I’m just a bad-ass, strong willed girl…trying to figure out who the hell I am here.

I am living authentically in every way. Some people can’t deal with it. I say love me anyway.

Nosedive

Nosedive

Life has a way of pulling us into unexpected nosedives, where the ground seems to be approaching faster than we can catch our breath. In those moments, I feel like I’m free-falling—unsure, scared, and vulnerable. But this experience, as hard as it is, has shown me something profound: I have a net of love that keeps me steady.

Through every high and low, it’s my family that surrounds me with an unwavering embrace. Jason, with his steadfast support and gentle encouragement, has been my anchor. He reminds me that I don’t have to have it all figured out. Sometimes, just being together, breathing through it all, is enough.

And then, there’s my beautiful Elle, whose resilience amazes me every day. Watching her navigate her own struggles as she supports Ava, my heart aches and swells with pride. Ava, fighting her battle with a strength that defies her years, is a constant reminder of what it means to be brave. And I couldn’t do any of this without my sisters—Jolyn, Krista, Shyleen—and my parents. They’re the roots keeping us all grounded, always ready to catch me if I stumble.

Together, we’re learning that it’s okay to feel like life is spiraling. We catch each other, lift each other up, and sometimes, we just sit with one another in the mess. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is admit that it’s okay not to be okay.

So, for anyone who feels like they’re in freefall, I hope you find those hands ready to catch you. I hope you find the love that helps you rise, and the family that will teach you to fly—even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Because, in the end, none of us are in this alone. We’re all just learning to navigate the fall together.

**Three Ways to Find Stability in the Freefall:**

1. **Lean Into Your Loved Ones:** Share your struggles with the people who love you. Don’t feel like you have to carry the weight alone. Opening up and allowing yourself to be vulnerable creates deeper connections and reminds you that you have a network of support.

2. **Celebrate Small Victories:** Even on the toughest days, find something positive to hold onto. Maybe it’s just getting through the day, or a moment of laughter. Recognizing these small victories can help you stay grounded and keep your spirits up when times are hard.

3. **Give Yourself Permission to Not Have All the Answers:** Life doesn’t come with a roadmap, and we all stumble. Embrace the idea that it’s okay to feel lost sometimes. The journey is less about having everything figured out and more about trusting that, even in the mess, you are loved and supported.

So, to anyone feeling like they’re in a freefall, remember this: you’re not falling alone. In the midst of uncertainty and the moments where life feels heavy, there are hands ready to hold you, arms that will catch you, and love that will lift you back up. Lean into that love. Take it one step, one breath at a time, and know that it’s okay to just be here, right where you are. Sometimes, just by being together and letting ourselves be held, we find a way to fly again. You've got this—and we're all here, learning to soar alongside you.
