Trust the Process
Have you ever had that undeniable feeling in your gut, a deep certainty that something is so right for you—but at the same time, it feels just out of reach? Maybe it’s a dream job, a relationship, a personal goal, or a new chapter you can’t wait to start. Yet, as much as you long for it, you find yourself waiting, honoring the time it takes for life to unfold and for growth to do its work.
It’s tough to be in that waiting space. It can feel uncomfortable, restless, and sometimes even frustrating. But here’s what I’ve learned: there’s magic in trusting that space, and there are ways to make it meaningful.
Every morning, before I even get out of bed, I have a little ritual. Before the coffee is poured or the day begins, I pause and ask, *“What do I need to learn today to live the life I desire?”* It’s a practice that grounds me. It sets an intention to be open and ready for what life has to teach me. Some days, I get answers that feel clear and actionable. I know exactly what I need to work on or what step to take next. On other days, I feel confused and uncertain, like I’m wandering through a fog with no map in sight. But here’s the thing: both feelings are valuable, and both contribute to growth.
If you’ve ever felt that mix of clarity and confusion, know you’re not alone. The moments of “I’ve got this” and “I have no idea what I’m doing” are equally important. Why? Because they both teach us to trust. The clarity gives us confidence to move forward, while the confusion teaches us patience, resilience, and the art of surrender.
When we embrace both the knowing and the not knowing, we open ourselves to lessons we didn’t even know we needed. We learn to trust the process, even when it’s uncomfortable. We learn to love ourselves, even when we feel broken. We learn to sit with our hurt and, slowly, to grow from it.
Here are a few practical reminders for those days when growth feels hard to grasp:
1. **Celebrate the Small Wins**: Progress doesn’t always look grand. Sometimes it’s as simple as getting out of bed, making that phone call you’ve been dreading, or showing up for yourself when it would be easier to hide. Celebrate these little victories because they add up.
2. **Give Yourself Grace**: Growth is rarely linear. It’s messy, with plenty of wrong turns and setbacks. Be kind to yourself on the days when you feel lost or unsure. Remind yourself that healing and growth take time, and you’re allowed to move at your own pace.
3. **Stay Curious**: Instead of feeling frustrated when you don’t have all the answers, try to approach life with curiosity. Ask yourself what this moment could be teaching you, and look for lessons in unexpected places. You might be surprised at how much wisdom you uncover.
4. **Keep Picking Yourself Up**: Even when life feels heavy and you have to put your pieces back together, know that there’s strength in trying again. Every day you choose to keep going, you’re proving to yourself that you can handle whatever comes your way.
The most beautiful part of growth is that it happens even when we don’t feel it. So if you’re in a season of waiting, keep waking up to the possibility of something new. Keep believing that every day holds the potential for love, growth, and discovery. Trust that the path you’re on is leading you somewhere incredible, even if you can’t see it yet. You’re learning. You’re growing. And you’re doing a better job than you might think.
Keep going, my friend. You’ve got this.
